Roles and Positions

I learned a long time ago that you can not be everything to everybody at all times. In life, we all have certain roles to fulfill, and they can't be fulfilled by one person. On a basketball team, everyone has the role of a player, but everyone isn't in position at the same time. Just like a basketball team, there will be certain people in your life who will make the "starting 5" position, and then there will be people who are "on the bench". Those who are on the bench, should be available to step in at anytime and all you need to do is say the word. We have to figure out who plays which position in our lives, just like we need to figure out what position we play in other's lives. Don't be upset because it appears that your role is small, just trust that your position is needed. Play your position when it's your time...you've earned it.
